Sometimes the best client relationships don't begin with a proposal. They begin with a conversation.

When Amerimet first reached out, the owner wasn't looking for another marketing agency. He wanted to understand whether his existing agency was taking the business in the right direction. Our first meeting wasn't a pitch. It was an educational conversation about how B2B marketing works, how SEO differs from paid advertising, and how marketing should support a long sales cycle.

By the end of that discussion, the question changed from "What should I ask my agency?" to "Can you help us do this?"

That conversation became the beginning of a long-term partnership.

A Reputation Built Over Three Decades

Amerimet is a family-owned supplier of aluminum and steel sheet, coil, and slit products serving customers across the United States and the Caribbean. With more than three decades in business, they had earned an excellent reputation through relationships, service, and reliability. Marketing needed to reinforce that reputation rather than simply generate activity.

The Right Decision, Not the Biggest Investment

One of our first recommendations surprised the client. We advised against making Google Ads the first priority. For this type of business, the greatest opportunity was building authority through search visibility, technical content, and a website that supported the sales team.

Good marketing starts with making the right decision, not the biggest investment.

Before the full engagement began, we partnered on a small AI project to organize prospecting workflows. That initial project established trust and demonstrated our consultative approach.

Owning Your Digital Assets

As we dug deeper, we discovered that Amerimet did not fully own one of its most valuable digital assets. Their website hosting lived inside the previous agency's account. We coordinated a migration so the company, not an agency, owned its website and hosting.

Building Authority Through Search

From there we built a comprehensive SEO strategy. We researched the industry, refined the content strategy, and iterated until the technical blog content matched the expertise of the business. The process took time, but the results reflected that investment.

Marketing also became closely aligned with sales. Content topics supported active prospecting efforts, creating consistency between conversations, the website, and LinkedIn.

As the relationship grew, so did the scope of our work. We implemented AI-assisted lead scoring, corrected a website email routing issue that prevented inquiry forms from reaching the sales team, created AI training modules, and began developing dashboards that help leadership make better decisions.

When the client saw meaningful progress on the English website, they asked us to expand the same strategy to the Spanish site.

Results

Average Google ranking improved from approximately 32 to 16 within six months. More importantly, the company gained a stronger digital foundation, clearer reporting, better ownership of its assets, and a marketing strategy aligned with long-term business goals.

Average Google ranking position, lower is better

Average position moved from around 32, page four of Google, to around 16, page two, in six months of SEO work.

We'll be honest about this number. Position 16 may not sound all that impressive on its own. Everybody wants to be on the first page of Google, and that is still the goal here. But SEO takes time, especially in a technical B2B industry, and this climb is more than a number on a chart. Moving from 32 to 16 has already increased the traffic reaching the website.

More importantly, the client has noticed an increase in inquiries themselves. Beyond any metric we can measure, hearing that directly from the client is all the proof we really need.

Where This Goes Next

The greatest outcome wasn't a ranking improvement. It was trust.

Today our conversations focus less on individual marketing tasks and more on helping the business decide what comes next. That's the type of partnership Digital Lotus strives to build.

If this were our own business, we'd continue strengthening search authority, expanding Spanish-language visibility, refining reporting, and helping the team use AI to work smarter, not simply faster.

Marketing isn't finished when rankings improve. It evolves alongside the business, and so does our role.
